It started about a year-and-a-half ago…
A colleague had one of those small wooden body models on her desk and I threatened to kidnap it. She didn’t think I had the stones, so I put together a ransom note, taped it to her desk, and took off with Li’l Wooden Guy.
At first I just took pictures of him tied up and being mistreated, but it turned into a narrative - he escaped, and had adventures through the city. I took pics and put them on Facebook. Soon, my Cool Boss got involved and was taking LWG with him on trips to Dallas, Paris and Labrador, and photographing everything.
Eventually it was time to send him back to his owner, so I wrapped up the photo story and bought him back. But LWG had become my muse, so I had to go out and buy my own model. And I’ve got a lot of plans for this one…
Recently I went back and added new captions to the old photos. And voila - here’s a sample of Li’l Wooden Guy After Dark.
